Diagram showing vSphere iSCSI port binding with IPv6, illustrating vmk1 on VLAN 101 and vmk2 on VLAN 102 connected to TrueNAS portals over an 802.1Q trunk.

This diagram illustrates a dual-VLAN IPv6 iSCSI configuration in vSphere. The ESXi host uses two VMkernel interfaces: vmk1 on VLAN 101 (fd64:101:101::101/64) and vmk2 on VLAN 102 (fd64:102:102::101/64). Each interface is explicitly port-bound to the Software iSCSI adapter and connects over an 802.1Q trunk to corresponding TrueNAS portals: Portal A on VLAN 101 (fd64:101:101::100/64) and Portal B on VLAN 102 (fd64:102:102::100/64). The configuration ensures deterministic multipathing behavior over IPv6.
